This maiden, the essence of demure beauty, is attired for her wedding day. She wears a robe, uchikake, that is covered with cranes which symbolize purity and fidelity and a traditional headdress, tsuno-kakushi, meant show humility. This exquisite portrait is worked on 18 count ivory and features gold metallic thread for extra sparkle.
