Vintage 1970's Butterick Pattern #4162
Long & Short Evening Wear Dresses
Size: Junior Petite 7
This Butterick pattern is unused, uncut and complete with original factory folds. From the style of dress on the front cover, it is believe this pattern is from the 1970s, however the copyright date is not stated on the pattern. The pattern envelope is in good condition with some wear (tanning, creasing, fraying, name written in pencil on front cover and small tears around the outside edge). Please refer to my photo for more information about condition.
The loose-fitting, slightly-flared dress in two lengths, is gathered at the front into a slightly above-waistline shaped midriff. It has a V-neckline, short flared sleeves gathered at the caps, attached self sash and pockets in side seams. Purchased scarf.
Body measurements for this pattern are for size 7: bust 32", waist 24", hip 33" and back - neck to waist 14 1/2".
Suggested fabrics are soft fabrics such as crepe, jersey, challis, gauze, surah, pongee and gingham.
