A warm dog sweater in a yarn blended of Cashmere, wool and nylon, which has a thick, soft feel and delicate sheen. Just beautiful ! Expertly and completely handknitted by my sister, Joan, in a size just right for 3-6 lb dogs or puppies. The body of the sweater is pale pink, with pure black cashmere trim on the neck and along the bottom. Along each side is a trim of faux angora in the palest pink which matches the pink cashmere perfectly. You are just not going to find a sweater of this quality anywhere! 100% Cashmere would be just too expensive, so we opted for the Cashmere blend yarn which is still pricey but affordable. There are 6 cables running down the body of the sweater. These cables are part of what makes this sweater so wearable - because the pattern allows quite a lot of stretch yet will bounce back into shape once it's on the dog. Both pattern and style are Joan's own exclusive designs. Hand-wash and lay flat to dry, if you need to fluff up the angora trim after washing, a few minutes in the dryer with no heat will do it. The sweater is a simple sleeveless design with a simple belly and neck band done in traditional seed stitch. It will keep your little dog warm yet give him complete freedom of movement. It is easy to put on, too. When measuring your dog please remember that the cables allow the sweater to stretch a bit yet the pattern will still look gorgeous. So if you are getting this for a toy breed puppy it will stretch to fit him as he grows.
